AiR 351 hosts a conversation with philosopher Michael Marder on the occasion of the launch of his latest book, Philosophy in the Trash: A Phenomenology of Devastation, edited by VS Editor. This event will also have the participation of guest speaker philosopher Giovanbattista Tusa.

Drawing on today’s environmental crisis, Marder examines the Anthropocene as a global landfill, exploring how pollution and ecological degradation affect not only the planet but also our bodies, perceptions, and ways of thinking. Addressing issues ranging from microplastics and airborne toxins to soil degradation, the book offers a thought-provoking reflection on the challenges of the present and the futures they may shape.

The talk will be held in English at AiR 351, Avenida Vasco da Gama 11, Cascais. The book will be available for purchase at the venue.
