A Collaborative Program by PADA, Pó de Vir a Ser, and AiR 351
Moderated by Catarina Real
In 2025, three contemporary art residency programs — PADA (Barreiro), Pó de Vir a Ser (Évora), and AiR 351 (Cascais and Torres Vedras) — join forces for a series of in situ gatherings that foster dialogue, exchange, and reflection.
Rooted in each organization’s unique context and experience, this collaborative program initiates thematic discussions focused on the specificities of artistic creation within the residency format. Through these meetings, the participating teams aim to strengthen institutional relationships and contribute to the development of critical and theoretical discourse around residency practices in Portugal.
The reflections and insights emerging from these gatherings will be compiled into a text by Catarina Real, to be published by Umbigo.
These 3 organizations are part of the Rede Portuguesa de Arte Contemporânea (RPAC) and are supported by Direção-Geral das Artes (DGArtes), which also funds this specific collaboration project.
