Lu Wei and Tuan Mu are visual artists and a duo of curators based in Taipei, Taiwan. They curated a show at the Taitung Art Museum in 2023, for which they were nominated for the 22nd Taishin Art Award, a show at the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei (MOCA Taipei) and received the “Curator’s Incubator Program @museums” grant from the National Culture and Arts Foundation. As artists, they held a show at ICA Yerevan in 2025. Lu Wei’s artistic practice includes ink painting, installations, and videos that  incorporate feminist thought to broaden the understanding of gendered bodies in ink history. Tuan Mu reinterprets traditional Asian culture using new media, blending Buddhist and Taoist philosophies with elements like AI and virtual reality to examine human perception in the digital age.

Lu Wei has received grants from the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture, the National Culture and Arts Foundation, and the Taipei Artist Village, facilitating her residencies at Grey Projects in Singapore and the 18th Street Arts Center in Los Angeles (2023). The Utah Museum of Fine Arts acquired her artworks during her time in the U.S. In 2025, she held solo exhibitions at Material and Ogden Contemporary Arts in the U.S. She has exhibited internationally across Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Armenia and the U.S., including venues such as Ames Yavuz (2025), CICA Vancouver (2025), OUR Museum(2022),  AKI Gallery (2020) . Tuan Mu has exhibited across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His recent shows include the Art Academy of Latvia (2025), Centro de Cultura Digital in Mexico City (2025), CERN in Geneva (2025), Cinemateca do MAM in Rio de Janeiro (2024), Musik der Jahrhunderte in Stuttgart (2024), FABRIKA CCI in Moscow (2023), HIAP Gallery Augusta in Helsinki (2023), Centro de Bellas Artes Ateneo de Maracaibo (2023) Digital Art Center in Taipei (2022), Beijing Times Museum (2022), and various venues in USA, Italy, Greece, Armenia and Taiwan between 2021 to 2025. His works have also been featured in the Durres Biennale and Venice Immersive Market Taiwan Pavilion.

During their residency at AiR 351/CAC, they are planning to develop a new body of work that engages with and questions colonial imagery and aesthetics connecting Portugal and Asia. Their artistic research will explore themes such as gender, digitality and mythology. They aim to transcend the limitations of the body and historical perspectives through various forms of visual expression. By deconstructing and reconfiguring the symbolic meanings within images, they seek to create dialogues that expand and differentiate their perspectives within contemporary ink art.
