A public performance on health and care by Jody Wood with Alexandre Diaphre.

Como Está A Sua Saúde? installs a mobile, artistic ‘wellness clinic’ in public spaces. Performers will engage visitors in open conversation about health in English or Portuguese, and will invite participants to write prescriptions for each other concerning social, emotional, mental, civic, physical, and spiritual health. The project explores health as a social contract and re-imagines personal wellness as a gift that can be transferred through community exchange.

Jody Wood is an artist from NYC working in mediums of social practice, video, photography, and performance. Her work has been supported by prestigious institutions including A Blade of Grass, Esopus Foundation, Rema Hort Mann Foundation, an ArtPlace America Initiative at McColl Center for Art + Innovation, and through residencies at Headlands Center for the Arts, Yaddo, and Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture. She is currently an artist in residence at AiR 351 in Cascais, and is a recipient of a FLAD / AiR 351 grant, sponsored by Luso-American Development Foundation.
